At times I wonder how humanity came to this pass. Every living thing on the planet prioritizes their offspring above all else, even their own survival. One would think that for the, supposed, most intelligent creature on Earth this would be a no-brainer. Alas, a certain brand of penis people have amassed more power, wealth, and influence than their emotionally stunted ego's could handle and have, as a result, lost their way. This would be unfortunate under any circumstances but in this case it has allowed them to distract the rest of the human race away from their principle responsibility. As I have said many times before, a society that fails to defend and protect the most vulnerable members of that society will be doomed to destruction. Our children and handicapped are the canaries in this coal mine that are signaling to us our demise. Rampant hunger, abuse, and enslavement of any human being is an indictment of our collective failure as a species. That those conditions should apply to our children and disadvantaged among us is both horrifically appalling and a shameful disgrace. It is well past the time that the world should recognize this ugly truth about our reality and take any and all necessary actions to put an immediate end to this travesty. Maybe, somewhere along the way to cleaning up this mess, we can also take a look at those most responsible and address their sick and depraved psyches. The dividends would enrich us all.
